Lesson 3: Land grabs
Land grabs are one way through which land rights are not secured or respected for local communities. This affects smallholder farmers, indigenous and non-indigenous communities, pastoralists and women.
This module focuses on what elements constitute a land grab, its frequency and its impact on communities and stakeholders. It provides institutional investors with knowledge of when and where to be alert for potential land grabs in their investment portfolio.
